This is one of my New Year's resolutions to be more productive, less idle & get me motivated to write my book I've been planning for too long. The others include to lose weight, (which I make every year, even when I was really thin), I succeeded at this one last year, lost 30 lbs & kept it off (yay me!). This year I plan on including exercise & losing at least another 30. The other resolution I make every year, is to stop saying "fixin' to" in place of "going to" or "about to", no I'm not a redneck, I'm just from the south & it's a hard habit to break. So that's 3 resolutions, & those that know me, know why. For those that don't, in a nutshell, I have OCD (obsessive compulsive disorder) & I'm fixated on the number 3.
Today's big dilemma was replacing my beloved page a day Far Side desk calendar, which has been the highlight of my cubicle life at work for the past 7 years. Sad but true, most of my mornings gleefully begin with hazelnut coffee & The Far Side. Today, not only did my dad not leave me any coffee, (& as usual I was running too late to stop for any) but Gary Larson has declared no more page a day's & my morning sucked ass.
Determined that tomorrow be a brighter day, I head to Books A Million in search of a replacement calendar (as if The Far Side could ever be truly replaced). I narrow the wide selection down to three (of course) The Simpson's Trivia, The Best of The Onion (www.theonion.com), or Jeopardy. After obsessing for roughly half an hour over which to purchase, I settled on The Onion. As much as I love both of the others, I simply must have some daily sarcasm.
The other interesting thing that happened today was I received a call from Divorce Court. Yes the TV show. It seems my quite annoying & equally insane soon to be ex-husband called them in hopes that we could soon be telling all the world (or at least all 1% of the population who watch that show) our personal problems. They offered to fly us to CA, pay for hotel & limo & $500 each. I declined. I have neither the words nor the energy to elaborate on this topic. Tina

I'm Tina, glimpse my world. I'm a single mom, divorced, had to move home with the parental units (who are slightly insane), I have OCD, & I can make a short story long.
