I wrote...are you happy now?

Sorry I have not written in a while, my constant readers, all two of them, have been nagging me, so here you go. I started school last week & am still working full time also until this Friday, so I have not had much free time. It feels good to be using my brain again, other than trying to find ways not to work. I am a bit stressed though because since summer term is short, I have a lot of homework & it's just been difficult to find the time to get it done & study. Hopefully it will be much easier after this week. Ever since my dad took the cover off the pool, all Maggie wants to do is play in the water & she will only be in daycare while I'm in class so looks like I will be getting a tan this year while studying, like it or not. That is what I did today & I put sun screen on, but I still got sunburned. Owie!

I have a new friend, his name is Eric. Just thought I should mention that because I've been hanging out with him lately & I didn't want anyone to be lost in case I refer to him. Which I'm about to do now...

Eric & I went to see Spacebar play at Rock N Roll Pizza Friday night, who of course totally rocked. They did a cover of the Cure's Lovesong which was really good - Jimmy has the perfect voice to cover Robert Smith. We also had a funny/scarey incident on the way to the club. Funny for me, scarey for Eric. If you know me, you know I tend to talk with my hands. I was telling a story & I was driving through downtown, where the streets are kind of narrow & things such as lamp posts are close to the road. I took my hands off the wheel, just for a moment, but my front tires are nearing baldness & I guess I also need an alignment, because my car veered to the right & we came within inches of hitting a lamp post. This is not an unusual occurrence for me, so I just grabbed the wheel, corrected & kept talking, but evidently it scared the hell out of Eric...the post was on his side. Sorry Eric.

Family updates - My youngest sister Brandi turned 15 last week & got her restricted liscense, so if you see her on the roads, she'll be in a white Jeep Cherokee....GET OUT OF THE WAY!
My other sister Chrissy has a new boyfriend & is very happy. I'm pleased, it's nice to see her happy. Us Hicks girls have historically bad luck in the boyfriend department, hopefully things are changing. Maybe some of what she's got going on will carry over to me...
