Movie quote of the day:
Melvin Udall: Doctor how can you diagnose someone with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder and then act like I had some choice about barging in here right now?
--As Good As It Gets

Song of the day + bonus quote:
When you're on your own
You can see things clear,
Clear as a bell
And you're free, slave
--Weezer – Slave

I'm freaking out because I have been such a slacker this semester and I just realized that deadlines for me to apply to grad schools are quickly approaching. Most are end of December, some mid-January. I haven't even taken the freaking GRE yet! It takes like 4-6 weeks for them to even send your official scores to schools. I just finished my GRE prep class this past Saturday and I think I may take the test on Wednesday. I still have to write my personal statement too and that is something I'm really dreading. How do you talk about yourself in a positive light without sounding arrogant and boasting?

I discovered something about myself while taking the GRE prep. I like Algebra. Wow, I am an even bigger geek than I ever thought. I can't help it. I like the way that it is systematic and ordered. I also like statistics, but that's not new. I figured that out last year. And that's probably a good thing since I want to do research. But I really hate Geometry. Blah, pooey, yuck. I spit on Geometry!

Tonight I went to another sneak preview. It was Christmas With the Kranks, which if it hadn't been free was not something I would have gone to. But it was actually kind of funny. It had it's moments anyway. More entertaining than Alexander. Sad but true.

I have a lot of things going through my mind about the whole Will situation, but I don't have time to sort through them now. I have to put that on the back burner and concentrate on the GRE. Ok enough procrastination, I'm going back to practicing my Geometry.
